I will never buy an xbox or playstation unless Pc's are no longer manufactured. If anything I'd buy the steam console that is coming out at most.
Pc's are better, stronger, faster. I'll just buy PC's games that support dedicated public downloadable servers
There are lots of indie companies making great games and it looks like they will become the next big thing due to the greed you speak of. All this disposable console market will do is pave the way for other PC game devs that may not have had a chance previously.
Could be a blessing in disguise! We will see.
