MR-28: 0.2  - I already said the MR-28 was the only decent MR in the 3rd post in this thread

MK14 EBR - 0.25  - Beaten by 3 AR and equal two 2 others with MK14 having higher recoil, lower hip fire accuracy

IA-2: 0.222222222 - Beaten by 2 AR with with IA2 having higher recoil, lower hip fire accuracy

SVU: 0.333333333 - Beaten by ever AR

In addition to these disadvantages it requires you to pull the trigger each time you want to fire which leads to more inaccurate aiming. And were AR fire rates are always optimal as ghamorra pointed out optimal MR fire rates are theoretical. So in practice at least 5 AR have better TTK than the MK-14 and ever AR has better TTK than the SVU at the highest damage ranges, with the ARs having better handling characteristics. The only advantage the MR have is a window where the AR increase to 4 rounds to kill and the before the MR increase to 3. After that range window the AR have the TTK advantage again (except for the SC2010). And if you put a single fire attachment on the ARs they have better TTK and better handling characteristics than every MR within their highest damage range (which is unknown). And when you put a silencer on all of the guns it shrinks the TTK advantage window for the MR.

This is still a non-issue for me. I get that it can be an issue, but I don't run into this often unless I'm brutally tired. The theoretical ROF versus practical ROF argument is good ground to stand on and I totally get it, but in what realistic situation are we, marksmen, going to be trying to size up our opposition in a paper-esque firefight? If we entertain the idea of increasing the ROF and lowering the kick, then aren't those that are hung up on even placing the shots or firing quick enough in an engagement still going to be stuck right there? In my opinion the answer is "yes, they would be."

ARs having single round attachment doesn't make them any more ideal in my opinion. I've watched Driftor's video where he stated, if I remember correctly, that they gain a damage bonus. I personally disagree with that if it's the case and feel they should operate as they would normally in terms of damage tables. I generally find the single fire attachment appealing to me, since I like semi-autos, but unnecessary in general. The semi-auto honey badger I tried earlier was fun, but didn't 2HK like I would have wanted. DMRs get the advantage there for me.

On to a different point now. On the first page you said the MK14 was "useless" because of it's ROF. I highly disagree with that, but it does raise a point. If that's the opinion you've formed, then is this a case of you maxing out the ROF every time for the MK14? By extension you're maxing the ROF for every MR? Just wondering.
