It's a glitch because the zombies can't get to you.
Higher rounds on the leaderboard are the reward for people who DO have the time to put into getting there. If your priorities are such that it's not a big deal to you or you don't have the time then it is what it is.... you play when you can but you don't get the reward that others who do have the time get.
I'm not trying to be preachy..... the highest round I've been to on ANY map, is 45. That's not high to most.... but given I have a full time job and house to maintain it's the best I've been able to get too..... and that game took a loooonnnnng time
