Re: HeroHQ Survivors

I've heard some reports say that she is about 5 months along....most women would start to show by then.  If she goes another month before filming it will be very tough to hide the bump, and there may be weight gain in other areas (though some women are blessed to only have the belly stick out, and I'm sure she's working with trainers and dieticians galore)  I'm not so sure that 5 month report is accurate.  I don't know how recent the photos that accompanied the report were, but she didn't look pregnant in those.  As for your earlier question, Hawk, Scarlett could have found out she was pregnant the first month she didn't find any "red in her ledger", if ya know what I mean.  Then she probably took a test or went to the doctor to confirm.

I did really enjoy Thor and I'd say it lived up to the hype.  I want to watch it again before I rank it among the other MCU movies, but it's definitely one I will watch multiple times, and that's always a good sign.  I do wish they had made it a little longer and fleshed out some more character stuff a bit (especially Malekith).  I haven't watched any yet, but I hear that most of the deleted scenes would have been fine if they left them in.  Hopefully TWS won't have the same problem....good news is that it is reported to be the second longest Marvel movie (behind Avengers) at around 136 minutes.

Speaking of Cap, I just read that they may be releasing the entire 11 minute prologue as a "trailer". Wow!  I'm like Hawk where I've seen enough and will avoid watching anything else if I can help it until I see it in the theater.  Only a month away!

Iron - Warning - incoming wall of text!  I posted a whole bunch of pics of the cruise on Facebook if you want to check those out too.  We had a great experience for our first cruise.  The ship is huge and Disney really keeps everything immaculate!  There are always people re-painting and cleaning and making sure it looks brand new.  I did have a little bout of seasickness on the second morning or so, but I took some Dramamine and muched on a green apple (one of the employees said it should help and it seemed to!) and eventually got my "sea legs".  My wife and I were still feeling the motion in our hotel the day after we got off the boat so for some people it does take some getting used to (both on the ship and after!).  Our first two days at sea were a little windy but that didn't stop us from chillin' by the pool or going on the Aqua Duck (on board waterslide).  They have kids clubs where you can just drop off the kids if you want and they will call you on a little cell phone they provide when the kids say they want to be picked up.  They have top notch live shows.  There was a production of Aladdin and other shows with Disney songs and characters mixed in.  There were also performers like a ventriloquist, a hypnotist, and various comedians that were all great.  If you don't have kids (or they are off doing their own thing) there are "adults only" areas with pools and clubs too.

Our first stop was St. Maarten.  For the days in port we pretty much just hung out on the beach or did a little shopping.  You can do excursions like tours of the island or snorkeling or jetskiing or stuff like that, but we opted to go the less expensive route.  The second stop was St. Thomas and we went to a beautiful beach there.

After another day at sea the last stop was Castaway Cay, Disney's private island in the Bahamas.  The weather was cloudy and it even rained a little that day, but we still had a good time and I did some snorkeling.  They have sunk a couple of old submarines from the 20,000 leagues under the sea ride at Disney World out in the snorkeling area.  I didn't see those, but there was a lot of fish and I even saw a big sunken Mickey Mouse statue.  A few years ago they had the actual Flying Dutchman from the second POTC movie out in the bay but it has since been removed....bummer!

The food was really good, and there was a lot of it to be eaten!  Most days for breakfast and lunch we just hit the buffet or the quick service places on the pool deck.  Dinner was always a four course meal.  The good thing is that the portions were not overly huge so you didn't feel like you were stuffing yourself.  However there were quite a few nights where I just couldn't decide between a couple items so I ordered both and that was perfectly ok.  You rotate between three restaurants but your same servers stay with you so they get to know your likes/dislikes.  My favorite place was called the "Animators Palate" where they had shows during dinner.  In one, characters from Finding Nemo appear on the big screens on the wall and at one point Crush carries on a conversation (not sure how they do it, but it's cool!).  They have a similar attraction at Disneyland and when we went a couple years ago Crush talked to my oldest daughter.  He talked to her again on the cruise, which I thought was pretty neat.  For the other show they have you draw a character and later during dinner all the drawings appear in a big musical montage dancing along with classic Disney animated characters.

Let's see, did I miss anything? LOL.

Rogue - yes, we did get to meet Mickey Mouse.  We have a nice family picture with him and will frame it in a photo mat that we got signed by a bunch of characters to commemorate our vacation.

Overall it was a great experience.  Lots of fun, food and Disney magic.  I would definitely do it again.  One of the smaller Disney ships just did a redesign and they now have an Avengers Academy kids club...I'll take my son there in a few years maybe....'cause it's for my son....not me...
