trialstardragongypsyfrogking It's all these Hollywood movies, guys. Transformers and Iron Man and Pacific Rim. If they keep making these robot movies, the games will soon catch on fire.
One thing no one here has taken into account is the fact that EA and Activision are basically just competing on the same grounds.
EA now has Respawn's Titanfall and DICE's Battlefield
Activision has Bungie's Destiny and IW/Treyarch/Sledgehammer's Call of Duty
Let's face it. It may not all be going downhill, but merely getting quite competitive. Titanfall may well have been EA's answer not to CoD specifically, but to Destiny.
Then you've got the 1st-party game war, published by the console studios themselves, Halo (Microsoft) and PlanetSide (Sony).
In a way... it looks more like the companies are pretending to be fighting in order for the consumers to choose sides, when in fact, they're manipulating the whole game because it's mutually beneficial to them and brings them a lot more profit if we were to buy BOTH of any of these "dueling series; such as when people bought both BF3 and MW3.
