Because no system is 100% secure there's no such thing outside of the government and even some of their systems have been known to be compromised from time to time. I think you missed the point Starbuck the point was the Mickey Mouse security routines and firewall is built into your router that you buy at Walmart for $99 bucks compared to what your ISP is sorry providing you with. We sell routers and I've been to school on them, I can repair them, reprogram them, and super-tune them and trust me on this one anything that has already made it through your ISP's security is not even going to be slowed down by what comes stock in your off the shelf router. That is what my point was. Now, we can get some ultra high-end Cisco routers that can stop just about anything within reason short of a professional hacker if you want to shell out about two grand for one of them.
