honestly i have always used turtle beach i used the astro at a friends house and there not a bad headset. i would stick with turtle beach you can also get the dss2 adapter and improve your surround sound that much more with turtle beach. overall sound quality turtle beach you can tweak them to hear footsteps alot easier.
