I love it how players quickly jump the gun and talk about probation "whiners" as rage quitters, everyone gets angry sometimes it's human nature.
Although the probation system is basically a burden to the players that suffer from the broken lag compensation that has been forced into the game. You basically have to suffer from laggy gameplay or endure a five minute probation.
Believe it or not most players "rage quit" because of the ridiculous lag compensation, poorly skilled players don't even notice it so they just quit for whatever reason.
Here's a little story for you.
Activision don't want little jimmy and his daddy (the casual gamers) being destroyed by veteran players which is why they forced this type of lag compensation that causes such inconsistency in our gameplay.
In COD4 you would see teams with skilled players winning EVERY game if the other team were simply poor, Activision don't want that happening ever again.
In MW3 lag compensation was clear; you had a poor connection you had an advantage, MW3's "host disadvantage" was horrendous players would simply dashboard as soon as they noticed they were host eventually the only solution was to force yourself to a moderate nat-type. This was the point when players knew this different kind of lag compensation had been forced into the game, we already had thoughts about it when they told us the lag "was all in our heads" back when lag comp was changed in Black Ops.
I cant seem to get my head around the BO2 lag comp though, it doesn't seem to give me advantages or disadvantages it just forces me to have inconsistent game play every other game. You cant abuse the lag compensation like you could with MW3 by adding a delay to your connection, which is probably why they seem to have altered the code for BO2.
Probation is never going to be removed, so if you mainly "rage quit" because of lag I suggest you don't bother buying this game.
